Day 1: Kampala -Kibale forest national park
Have an early morning breakfast and set off for Kibale via Mubende reaching Fort portal in the afternoon for lunch. You will then proceed to Kibale for dinner and overnight at Crater Safari lodge/Primate Safari lodge/Kibale forest Camp.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi wetland sanctuary Walk
After a morning breakfast, transfer to the park head quaters for briefing before trekking. You will then walk along the different tracks in the forest in groups of six searching for these apes that are very related to human because of the way they communicate. During the walk you may stop to listen to the calls of the chimps to avoid bypassing them. The walk will be guided providing information about chimps, other primates, fauna and flora making it informative and interesting. After the walk you will have lunch and then go for a nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary, it has a lot of rare species to offer, both fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at Crater Safari lodge/Primate Safari lodge/Kibale forest Camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park – Afternoon Launch Cruise
Have breakfast early morning at your hotel and be ready to transfer to queen Elizabeth national park situated approximately 2 hours driving. Once you arrive in Queen Elizabeth, you will have a game drive and later lunch and in the afternoon, set off for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel while viewing animals drinking at the waters’ edge and plenty of bird life including migrant birds and flamingoes. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge/Park view lodge/Katara Lodge.
Day 4: Game drive & Chimps tracking in Kalinzu
Today you will set off very early before sunrise with packed breakfast, embark on a game drive towards the Kasenyi track. Lions and other predators are spotted feasting on the big herds of different antelope species. In the afternoon, a chimpanzee trek in Kyambura Gorge or a forest walk in the Maramagambo forest to the Python Cave can be arranged for you. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari lodge/Park view lodge/Katara Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi
In the morning, after a heavy breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Bwindi via the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park – Ishasha Game Reserve for viewing tree-climbing lions as they relax in the fig trees. After your lunch at Savannah hotel, proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Overnight stay at Gorilla Forest camp / Silverback Lodge
Day 6: Gorilla tracking
In the morning, after breakfast, report to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the mountain gorilla trackers code of conduct. This activity normally ranges between 2 to 8 hours subject to the movements of the gorillas in the rain forest. In the evening visit the Pygmies (Batwa) for cultural entertainment. Overnight stay at the lodge (Day 5).
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
You will wake up early, take breakfast and check out of the lodge. You will drive back to Kampala with an en-route lunch at Igongo cultural centre in Mbarara. Proceed to kampala and then to Entebbe for your connecting flight.
