5 Days Uganda safari including wildlife viewing in queen Elizabeth national park along the Kazinga chanel and watch tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector of the park coupled with gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest.
Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart Kampala early in the morning after breakfast for your tree climbing lion adventure. Lunch along the way, arrival late afternoon and settle into our accommodations that you have chosen from moderate to up-market in this area. You will be rewarded with an afternoon nature walk along the river watching the hippos frolic in the water, birds all around, wildlife of all kind and one thing you will notice is the quietness of the area. Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Early in the morning, wake up for a game viewing safari to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Have breakfast, and relax during the heat of the day as you wait for lunch. Later take an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel and embark on an evening game drive through the Kasenyi plains and the Mweya peninsula where a variety of fauna can be seen. Day 3: Ishasha Plains – Transfer to Bwindi national park
Breakfast and your last game drive across the fabulous savannah plains of Ishasha spotting the abundance of wildlife and birds along the way. Keep in mind that there are only two places in the world with tree climbing lions and you are in the area where they are seen most often.
Later drive through with enroute lunch to Bwindi National park reaching in the evening for an early rest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Today is the day for the grand gorilla safari. You will have an early breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas.
The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer.Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma
Day 5: Return to Kampala
This morning after breakfast, pack your luggage to drive back to Kampala, The drive will take you to stop at the Equator for photographs, and reach Kampala in the afternoon.
